Duckfest 2011 at the home of the Guinness World Record Rubber Duck collection is coming up. There will be games, trading, and many quacky discussions.
Please let us know if you are planning to attend, so we can get our ducks in a row.

Announcing Duckfest 2011!
Duckfest 2011 will be held on July 9, 12 noon, and take place in Seattle, Washington, USA at the home of the Guinness World Record duckie collection. There will be games, trading, and many quacky discussions. Please let us know if you are attending, so we can get our ducks in a row. Horses Like Rubber Ducks Too

 Dave F. of Seattle sent this photo taken by his wife Jean in Savannah, GA. Says Dave, "The horse really likes the duckie and did all kinds of things with it. At one point the horse accidentally 'threw' the duckie too far from the trough for him to reach down to retrieve it. But the groom came right over and tossed the duckie back into the trough. As in, 'This horse really needs his duckie.'" How great is that? Horses like rubber ducks too!

Student Photo Shoot

 Duck Dan of Mississippi sent these great photos to Duckplanet. A friend of his teaches photography at a local college. Sometimes his friend brings his students to Dan's house to photograph Dan and his duckies. Looks like everyone had a great time!

Ducky Zoo Billboard Ad

 I spotted this great advertising billboard from the Ballard Bridge in Seattle. It's an advertisement for the opening of the new meerkat exhibit at the Woodland Park Zoo in north Seattle. The Woodland Park Zoo is in walking distance of the home of the Duckplanet rubber duck collection so we'll have to take some duckies to go visit the meerkats in person.

Wedding Duckies

 Dave F. of Washington state recently attended the wedding of one of his students and was delighted to run into these charming wedding duckies. We rarely get a photo of wedding ducks at actual weddings. Such a treat to spot them in their natural habitat. Thanks for taking the shot and sending it on, Dave!
